Motorcycle Accident Injures One, Ties Up Traffic

A bad accident on I-79 sends one person to the hospital and backs up traffic for miles.

It all happened just before 9 A.M. Thursday just before mile marker 110.

The Sherriff's Department says three men were driving their motorcycles when they tied to pass a FedEx truck.

The first two were successful, but the the third driver and the FedEx truck somehow collided.

The driver was seriously hurt, and was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital by HealthNet.

The southbound lanes were shut down for well over an hour.

The accident is still under investigation.
