The Baxter Volunteer Fire Department's new hall opens its doors to the community today.

Local residents and prominent state officials, including Governor Joe Manchin, came together to dedicate this new building.

Manchin was thrilled to return to his hometown, so he could participate in this important dedication.

This new fire hall is over 10,000 square feet in size, which includes a large banquet hall that can accommodate 400 people. This room will also be used for Bingo, which will begin on September 2nd. The hall also features accommodations to house people in the event of a disaster or emergency.

Several community members will be enshrined on the "Wall of Fame" who played important leadership roles in the betterment of the community.

The volunteer firefighters are excited to have the facilities they need, and the facilities the community will enjoy.
