A phone scam is affecting multiple senior citizens in Randolph County, now State Police are trying to find out who's behind the crime.

This scam has been going on for many years but it hasn't been until recently when folks are actually losing money from it.

What's happening is a man who calls himself Raymond Stevenson is targeting senior citizens in the county, claiming he works for the FBI. He even gives folks a badge identification number and a number for them to call him back at. After he gives them this information, he immediately asks the person he calls for a credit card number so he can confirm it. Some folks have fallen for his scam and have lost some money.

State Troopers say they're having a hard time tracking him down because he uses track phones to make his calls. They've tracked him everywhere from New York, to Texas, even to California. Troopers say if you've been a victim of this crime or have any information to give them a call at 304-637-0200.
