The City of Weston plans to annex new property in Lewis County and they're given the green light to move the process forward .

When this annexation gets to the final stage it will draw in money for the city and will give local business owners a chance to save money.

All of the sanitary-sewage systems are run directly out of Weston, so if you're in the city your bills could go down.

Mayor Julia Spelsberg is giving everyone the option to be annexed not forcing them in.

She says the new Stonewall Jackson Hospital property owner chose to jump on board.

The extra revenue will be divided up for youth activities, and the rest will be split up between law enforcement, fire departments and the street department.

And the public hearing date is set for 6 p.m. on September 29th at the Lewis County Senior Center.
