The WV State Auditors office is being pro-active when it comes to fighting investment fraud.

State Auditor Glen Gainer's Field Representative Jim Terango grilled folks from the Lewis County Senior Citizen's Center on how to investigate before they invest.

It's a know fact that many investment groups, legitimate or not, target the 65 or older group.

And instead of being re-active Terango is teaching them things they need to know before it becomes a problem.

That includes getting a background check on the investment group before handing over your money and standing clear of investors who are rushing you to sign up.

The senior center in Weston has over 3500 members, and they want to make sure those members don't get taken advantage of.
