Several fire crews spend hours battling a blaze in Wallace Tuesday night.

The blaze broke out around 10:45pm at the old Cross Creek Game Room and Bar on Barnes Run Road. It took three crews from Harrison County and three crews from Wetzel County several hours to get it under control. Fire officials say electricity was hooked up to the building.

It sits over a creek and has flooded several times in the past year. Crews say FEMA recently bought the building after the June floodings and planned to tear it down. The former property owners lived in the building and had moved most of their things out after FEMA bought it.

Assistant State Fire Marshal Mackey Ayersman ruled the fire arson on Wednesday. There is a reward of up to $2,500 for any information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.

If you have any information, call the arson hotline at 1-800-233-FIRE.
