One man is dead after a motorcycle accident early Saturday morning in Clarksburg.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. on Chestnut Street. Authorities tell 5 NEWS 55-year old Timothy Ray Mirarchi lost control of his bike after hitting a curb. When rescue crews arrived, he was "severely bleeding" and had severe head wounds. He was later taken to United Hospital Center where they pronounced him dead.

The Harrison County Sheriff's Department is still investigating.
