A historic Randolph County cabin goes up in flames....now the State Fire Marshall is investigating.

A fire ripped through a cabin at the CCC camp Tuesday afternoon in the Otter Creek area of the National Forest.

Park rangers say the building has been there since the 1970's and is mainly used by Laurel Fork rangers and park employees. The cabin was not abandoned in fact utilities were turned on inlcuding gas and electric.

The State Fire Marshall was on scene today investigating what's left of the building and say its still too early to tell if it's arson. He says the investigation could take a couple days before it's complete.

They're asking if anyone has any information to call the Arson Hotline at 1-800-233-FIRE.
