An Upshur County man could soon be facing charges in the death of his 7-week old baby.

The Sheriff's Department says they believe the baby is a victim of shaken baby syndrome.  Doctors say there was massive brain hemorrhaging and Medical Examiner's ruled the death a homicide.

The baby was found unresponsive on December 17th and died on the 21st.

Authorities haven't released the name of the baby or the father who's facing charges.

Evidence could be presented to the Grand Jury Monday, January 12.
