Fire damages a Clarksburg home Tuesday evening. It happened at 8:00pm at a home on Northcott Street.

Crews were able to contain the fire quickly but there was damage to both the first and second floors, and there was heat damage to a home next door.

No one was home at the time of the fire, but crews did rescue a cat and a dog from the home.

Fire officials say they believe the fire started in the dining room. The Clarksburg Fire Inspector says it's "not suspicious" and he is still investigating the exact cause.
