A Lewis County home owner finds their horse dead, and they blame a mountain lion, but the Division of Natural Resources found nothing to prove that.

The incident apparently happened back in December, but DNR Conservation Officers went to find out answers on January 4th.

DNR Public Information Officer Hoy Murphy says, the horse was buried but from looking at the pictures there's no evidence of a large cat killing it.

They think the gaping wounds could've happened after the horse died.
