The Rock Forge Neighborhood House in Morgantown is facing a whole new set of problems after moving into their new home at the beginning of the year.

Late last year the Rock Forge Presbyterian Church asked them to leave the building so they could pursue their own community service. Now they have a new home, but some new issues to deal with.

The organization moved into the Sabraton Community Center at the beginning of the year but fire code violations were discovered on Wednesday.

City fire inspectors and code enforcement officers came to do an inspection for a pilates studio planning to open in the building. The center used to be a school but the Berean Southern Baptist Church never got an occupancy permit when they bought it.

Fire inspectors say the building has several problems but they shouldn't be hard to fix.

Rock Forge says it will remain open during the renovations but the daycare will have to be moved to the first floor.

If you would like to volunteer at the house or help with the renovations, you can call them at 292-3286.
