It was a mess on I-79 in Lewis County on Friday.
Around 3:30 p.m., an 18-wheeler heading south crashed through the guardrail, went through the median, across the northbound lanes, and came to a stop in the middle of the road. The northbound side was shut down for about an hour.
Diesel fuel was leaking, so environmental crews were called in to take care of it.
Police talked to the uninjured driver, but wouldn't tell 5 News what they think happened.
Construction on the southbound side was also causing headaches as well. For a three mile stretch cars were moving sluggishly along on both sides of the interstate.
