A truck driver suffered a medical emergency and crashed his 18-wheeler on I-79 in Harrison County around 11:15 p.m. Wednesday.

State Police think the man suffers from some sort of seizure disorder. When they got to him, he was unconscious in his front seat. The truck veered off the left side of the road, stopping after sliding across the guardrail and finally hitting a new section head-on.

The rig suffered heavy front end damage and two trucks were called in to tow it away. The man was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.

The man was hauling Idaho Potatoes from New York, heading to North Carolina.
