The week is finally here for the 35th Italian Heritage Festival and Wednesday even with the heavy rain they kicked off the festivities with their Annual Golf Tournament.
The Bridgeport Country Club allows 100 people to participate and every year they have no problem filling those spots. Usually it's a sunny day for this event, but a little rain didn't hold anyone back from a fun filled day of golf. Organizers told 5 News what's coming up for the rest of the week and what you should look forward to.
"We have a fun filled weekend. It's all about family and everyone getting together," said Mary C. Queen, Organizer.
"Definitely come for the food and the entertainment. Those are the two big staples every year," said Frank Devono Junior.
