4th Annual Turkey Trot Sees Record Number of Runners

Hundreds put their feet to the pavement Thursday morning in Shinnston to raise money for a scholarship fund to help kids be kids.
The Fourth Annual Turkey Trot was held Thanksgiving morning. Runners pay $15 a piece to take part in the holiday run. All the proceeds go to the Marie Gaston 4H Scholarship which helps needy kids spend a week at the camp. This year, nearly 600 runners laced up their tennis shoes. This is 200 more than last year and the biggest crowd organizers have seen .
The day started off with the Gobble Wobble. These were three short sprints for kids 11 and under to race to their finish line.
