5 NEWS UPDATE: Armstrong Plant and Union Reach Agreement

UPDATE 2/16/14:

Officials with Armstrong World Industries said they have reached an agreement with the Teamsters Union on Sunday.

Spokesperson Jennifer Johnson said, "We're very happy with the result. We have very committed employees at Beverly, and we're pleased we could come to an agreement.  Negotiations were a good, constructive process."

Terms of the contract weren't released.

UPDATE 2/15/14:

Jennifer Johnson, spokesperson for Armstrong World Industries, said no new information would be released on Saturday. She also could not confirm if a new contract was agreed upon.

There's still negotiations going on between the Teamsters union and the Armstrong plant in Randolph County.

Officials said things are moving along nicely.

The current contract they have right now is set to expire Saturday. Authorities said they aren't making any public comments at this time. They said this is out of respect for the process. The plant makes residential floor and ceiling products.
