5 NEWS UPDATE: Arrest Made In Little General Store Robbery

UPDATE (11/27):

Police have arrested the man they say robbed the Little General Store in White Hall on Sunday.

John Banish, Jr., 18, is charged with armed robbery. Police say he entered the store, pulled out a gun, and demanded money from the register. He then allegedly grabbed about 97 dollars in cash and drove away.

Banish is in the North Central Regional Jail.


Police in White Hall need your help finding a man who apparently robbed a store at gunpoint early Sunday morning.

Officers said a man walked into the Little General Store on Route 250 just after 3 a.m. Sunday morning, and allegedly held the worker at gunpoint and demanded an unknown amount of cash before driving off.

Police said the man they're looking for is a white male between 5'5'' and 5'7'' with a stocky build.

He was seen wearing a green Carhartt jacket with a gray hoodie, dark pants, a ski mask, and dark gloves.

He was also apparently driving an older model Oldsmobile Alero.
