UPDATE (10:30 a.m.):
WVU Head Football Coach, Dana Holgorsen, has released the following statement on the arrest of d'Vante Henry:
"d'Vante Henry had been indefinitely suspended from game participation. There [were] strict parameters put in place that he had to abide by in order to play next season. The allegations made against him are troubling and very serious. He is no longer a Mountaineer."
An outside linebacker for West Virginia University is in jail, facing sexual assault charges.
d'Vante Henry, 21, was arrested Wednesday. He's in the North Central Regional Jail, facing 2nd degree sexual assault charges out of Monongalia County. His bond has been set at $100,000. Jail records didn't indicate whether Henry has an attorney.
The complaint says she indicated Henry entered her room and forced her to have sex. She told Henry to stop, but he told her to "shut up" and continued. Henry told an officer the sex was consensual.
Henry arrived at WVU in July from Arizona Western College who didn't participate in preseason practice. Football coach Dana Holgorsen says Henry's no longer on the team.
