An Ohio boy associated with the apparent threats at Washington-Irving Middle School on Thursday is extremely remorseful according to Clarksburg Police Chief Marshall Goff.

It appears the juvenile meant nothing by whatever he said that prompted the extra security at WIMS and Robert C. Byrd High School. The details of what was actually said aren't being released but the investigation is over.

The police department and the schools were made aware of the threat on Wednesday night. That's when they put together all of the extra precautions at the schools for Thursday morning. Hundreds of kids didn't show up to school after parents heard of the threat.
While local police were at the schools and investigators were talking to some people at WI, the FBI in Dayton, Ohio was talking to a boy. The FBI told Chief Goff that he was extremely remorseful and that he never even intended on doing anything.
