5 NEWS UPDATE: Conditions Released of 4 People Taken to Hospital After Friday Night Accident

Sylvia Mallion is no longer listed as a patient at Ruby. Austin Thomas is in fair condition at Ruby. Harold Ellis and Luke Stephens were both released from UHC.

Update (11/4):

Clarksburg Police told 5 News two people were taken to Ruby after the accident Friday night, Sylvia Mallion and Austin Thomas. Harold Ellis and Luke Stephens were taken to UHC. Mallion and Ellis were in the Jeep Liberty while Thomas and Stephen were in the truck.

Their conditions are unknown at this time.


A messy accident erupted along the busy stretch of Emily Drive in Harrison County, Friday night.

It happened around 8:00 p.m. We're told two drivers accidentally hit each other head on, and one of those cars ended up over a hill nearby.

One person was flown to Ruby Memorial Hospital, while three people were rushed to United Hospital Center. As of 8:45 p.m., crews were still trying to clear the wrecked car from the hill.
