UPDATE 4/21:

Two people are behind bars after police say their child died of an overdose earlier this month.

It happened in the family's apartment on Camden Avenue in Monongah. Police said Andrew Hall and Brittany Edgell were woken up by their two-year-old girl stumbling around the room early on April 12th. Police said the couple found Tramadol tablets laying on the floor, and assumed the girl swallowed some. Instead of getting help, they gave the girl a cold bath, watched a movie with her, made her vomit, and put her down to sleep. The girl then went into cardiac arrest and died that afternoon.

The couple is being held on $5 million bond each.

UPDATE 4/17:

We now know that it was a baby girl who died after what appears to be an overdose in Marion County this weekend.

The two-year-old Monongah girl died Saturday. Right now there's no word on what she may have overdosed on or how it happened. The Marion County Sheriff's Department continues to investigate the incident.

As soon as we learn any more details, we will share that information with you.

ORIGINAL 4/16:

The Marion County Sheriff's Department is investigating the death of a two-year-old out of Monongah.

Chief Deputy Ralph Wright said the death appeared to be the result of an overdose. No charges have been filed yet.
