UPDATE: Tuesday, November 20, 6 p.m.
Firefighters said it may take days for them to figure out exactly what caused a Clarksburg pallet plant to burn Tuesday morning. They said there's no reason to think it's suspicious.

Shortly after 1 a.m., firefighters were called to the Keller and Sons Plant on Riverside Drive. Flames destroyed the work shop but firefighters were able to save the office next door. Crews were on scene for hours and said that the tin roof made it hard to put out the blaze.

ORIGINAL: Tuesday, November 20, 7 a.m.
Crews were out early Tuesday morning battling a fire at a local pallet plant.

The fire broke out a little after 1:00 Tuesday morning at the Keller & Sons plant on Riverside Drive in Clarksburg. The building was destroyed, but firefighters were able to contain it in time to stop it from spreading to the building next to it.

It's not clear how the fire started. The city fire marshal will be going to the scene to investigate.

The Clarksburg Fire Department told 5 News that the tin roof of the building was making it difficult to put the fire completely out. Nobody was there at the time, and nobody was injured.
