5 NEWS UPDATE: Fire Destroys Monongalia County Home

UPDATE (04/12/2014 6:50 p.m.):

Firefighters from the Cassville Volunteer Fire Department said a home that went up in flames in Cassville early Saturday morning was destroyed.

There's still no word on what caused the fire, but no one was home at the time.

ORIGINAL STORY (04/12/2014 2:00 p.m.):

5 News is still waiting to hear back from firefighters on what exactly caused a home to go up in flames early Saturday morning in Monongalia County.

Firefighters were called out to the home off Ramp Hollow Road in Cassville just after 4 a.m.

There's no word if anyone was home at the time, but the home was badly damaged.
