A fugitive ex-cop has barricaded himself in a cabin in California, and apparently shot two sheriff's deputies in the process.

He's supposedly inside the cabin still as of 6:00 Tuesday night, and the Los Angeles Times is reporting he might have hostages.

CNN, on the other hand, isn't sure if that's the case

The ex-cop, Christopher Dorner, is still inside that cabin. Those two sheriff's deputies were airlifted to a hospital. Their conditions are unknown at this time.

It's believed Dorner is targeting police officers for his 2008 dismissal. He's been the subject of a seven day manhunt and is the suspect in three killings.
