A man is facing charges after leading police on a pursuit in Clarksburg shortly after 2:00 Wednesday morning.
A Clarksburg police officer allegedly saw 30-year old Jeremy Kyle Nicholas hit a man with his car on Milford street. Nichols fled the scene, and lead police on a pursuit through the Stealey and Hartman neighborhoods, before ending up on Chestnut Hills.
He drove off the hillside on Taylor Street and fled on foot. Police brought in K-9's to track him. A neighbor on Van Buren street told police he saw Nicholas in their backyard. Police arrested him around 2:30 a.m. and charged him with fleeing while DUI.

Clarksburg police were led on a high speed chase through the Stealey neighborhood about 2:30 Wednesday morning.
Police spotted the car on Milford Street, police say the driver went onto the sidewalk and hit a pedestrian, who was not seriously injured.
The driver fled the scene.
More officers joined in the chase as the car hit a parked car on Hartland Avenue.
The driver drove through a deck and over a hillside, he then fled the car with police in pursuit. The Clarksburg K-9 unit found the man on Van Buren Street.
He was arrested and taken to UHC for treatment. The driver will be charged with multiple offenses.
No names have been released.
