5 NEWS UPDATE: Hot Spot Robbery Suspect Arrested

The Morgantown Police Department arrested a suspect in an armed robbery at a Hot Spot in Morgantown.
Police were actually investigating suspected drug activity, and said that 26-year-old Jeremiah Harmon attempted to run. They apparently found heroin on him and arrested him on a number of charges, including possession. They later identified him as the suspect who who walked into the Hot Spot on Brockway Avenue around 12:30 Wednesday morning with a large knife.  He got away with an undisclosed amount of money and also been charged with first degree armed robbery.
Harmon was arraigned and is being held at the North Central Regional Jail under a $54,000.00 bond.


Police in Morgantown are looking for a suspect in an apparent armed robbery.

Around 12:30 Wednesday morning, police say a white man walked into the Hot Spot located at 441 Brockway Avenue . The suspect was described as a white male who brandished a large knife. The suspect got away with an undetermined amount of cash.

The Morgantown Police Department Detective Division will be conducting the investigation of this incident.
