Officials with the State Fire Marshal's Office said that a fire Wednesday at a Locust Avenue apartment house in Fairmont was intentionally set.
The fire started in the basement stairwell.
The tenants had just moved out of the building that day and it was vacant at the time of the fire.
Anyone who has any information that would help investigators is encouraged to call the State Fire Marshal's Office Arson Hotline at 800-233-FIRE or the Fairmont Police Detective Division at 304-366-2217.
A reward of $5,000 is available for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those involved.
