5 NEWS UPDATE: Man Arrested After Supposedly Shoplifting, Crashing Dirt Bike into Police Cruiser

On April 1st, an Upshur County man supposedly tried to steal ingredients to make meth, and then led police on a chase in Buckhannon. 
On Thursday, 5 News got word that deputies were able to arrest him after he was released from the hospital.

35-year-old Robert Franklin Davis II apparently stole the items that are used to make meth from Wal-Mart.
When officers arrived on scene, Davis allegedly fled, but then crashed into a police cruiser.
He was taken to ruby after the incident with several broken bones.
