5 NEWS UPDATE: Man Arrested After Woman Was Shot In The Head In Wallace

UPDATE (6/20/14):

An arrest has been made days after a woman was shot in the head and a man was beaten.

According to the Harrison County Sheriff's Department, Daniel Blair is now charged with one count of malicious wounding and two counts of wanton endangerment. He was released from a hospital in Monongalia County on Friday and is expected to be arraigned soon.

UPDATE (06/18/14):

The Harrison County Sheriff's department is still investigating a shooting in Wallace that resulted in a woman being shot in the head.

Beth Williams and Daniel Blair were both rushed to Ruby on Saturday night.

This morning, Ruby Memorial informed 5 News that Williams was no longer listed as a patient, but police confirm Williams remains in serious condition at Ruby.

Blair is no longer listed as a patient.

The Harrison County Sheriff's department is still investigating a shooting in Wallace that resulted in a woman being shot in the head.

Beth Williams and Daniel Blair were both rushed to Ruby on Saturday night.

Williams remains in serious condition, but Blair is no longer listed as a patient.

Saturday night, 5 News told you about an apparent shooting in Wallace that sent two people to the hospital. Deputies have released their names and conditions.

They confirmed Beth Williams was shot in the head and the second victim is Daniel Blair. They're both in their mid-fifties and were rushed to Ruby, but are both expected to be okay.

Williams and Blair both live at the Parrish Circle home where the shooting took place. Deputies said there was an altercation between Blair, Williams, and another man. That man was apparently just a witness and called 911 when the shooting happened.

Deputies told 5 News this is still under investigation, but they're looking at a potential suspect.

UPDATE (06/14/14-12:30 AM):

According to a 5 News reporter on scene, police say a woman who is in her mid-fifties was shot in the head around 10 o'clock Saturday night in Parrish Circle in Wallace. Deputies say the second victim is a man in his mid-fifties. 911 officials said he was apparently assaulted by the shooter. Both victims were flown to Ruby.

A third person was at the scene, but only as a witness. They were not injured.

Investigators on scene would not release any information about the alleged shooter, but 911 officials confirmed there is no shooter on the loose.

There is no word on what caused this incident, but the Sheriff's Department is investigating.

UPDATE (06/14/14-11:15 PM):

911 officials confirmed a second Healthnet unit is being flown to Wallace for a second patient in connection to the shooting.

ORIGINAL (06/14/14-10:30 PM):

Around 10 o'clock Saturday night a woman apparently got shot in the head in Wallace.

5 News heard this from scanner traffic and have not gotten this confirmed with police yet.

According to the scanner, the woman is alive and Healthnet is being flown in to Parrish Circle to take her to Ruby.

911 officials did confirm that there is no shooter on the loose.
