5 NEWS UPDATE: Man Flown to Ruby After Truck vs. Tractor Trailer Accident

UPDATE (01/11/2014):

Troopers said 23 year-old Jacob Patrick Lee, of Fairmont, received non-life-threatening injuries from Friday's accident, and is expected to be okay.

UPDATE (01/10/2014):

A man was flown to a hospital after getting stuck underneath a tractor trailer. According to State Police, a man in a pickup truck hit the back of a tractor trailer and the pickup was dragged for 522 feet.

The man driving the pickup truck was flown because of his injuries; the driver of the tractor trailer wasn't hurt.

State Police are investigating this accident.

As of 8:40 p.m., the westbound lanes of Route 50 are open.

ORIGINAL STORY:

An accident has the westbound lanes of Route 50 in Harrison County shut down until further notice.

It happened around 6:00 p.m., Friday. According to investigators, a white pickup truck is stuck underneath a tractor trailer. One person is trapped inside the pickup truck and emergency crews are trying to get that person out. Health Net was called to the scene
