5 NEWS UPDATE 11/8/12:
PRESS RELEASE - On the 17th and 25th of October, a male subject stole shopping carts full of meat and various other groceries from the Cheat Lake Shop N Save in Monongalia County. Photos of the suspect were posted by local media outlets and the public has helped identify a person of interest as Christopher Lenhart , 32 y.o.a of Monongalia County. Anyone with information about the location of Christopher Lenhart is asked to call the Sheriffs Detectives Office at 304-291-7218. You may remain anonymous. The citizens who provided information have been instrumental in the investigation and we wish to thank those involved for their assistance.
ORIGINAL STORY 10/27/12:
The Monongalia County Sheriff's Department needs your help identifying a man who's apparently been stealing meat products from a local grocery store.
Deputies said the man in these pictures has pushed carts of groceries out of the Cheat Lake Shop N' Save on two different occasions. Both times, the majority of the cart contained meat products.
The suspect was seen leaving the parking lot in a blue truck with ladder racks on the back.
Anyone with information should call the Detective's Office at (304) 291-7218. Deputies said they will remain anonymous.
