Police have said 23-year-old Joseph Closson was killed in Tuesday afternoon's accident.
Investigators told 5 News he was only blocks away from his home when he crashed.

Original Story (3/12):
The Marion County Sheriff's Department is investigating an accident that left one man dead on Tuesday.
Deputies said that around 1:00 p.m., a man was driving a car south on Route 250 just outside of White Hall when he somehow lost control and hit a tree.
They believe speed was a factor in the crash. The man was not wearing a seatbelt.
Deputies aren't releasing the man's name or age right now.
