A Silver Airlines plane which accidentally landed at the Fairmont Municipal Airport two nights ago is still stuck there tonight.
The plane, which was supposed to land at the North Central Regional Airport in Bridgeport, is too large to take off on the smaller runway in Fairmont.
5 News talked to a spokesperson for the airline a few minutes ago who tells us that they are working with the Fairmont-Marion County Airport Authority to figure out the best way to fly out the plane. He also says that reports that they were trying to get a waiver from the FAA are not true.
The plan is to fly the plane out of the airport, but as of a few minutes ago, there was no timetable on when this would happen. As soon as we hear any more details on this, we'll be sure to pass them along to you.
