The Star City Police Department has released the following surveillance images of the man they say robbed the Saratoga Hot Spot. Anyone with information is asked to call the Department at 304-599-3550.
Star City Police are asking for your help finding a man they say robbed Hot Spot.
They were called to the Saratoga Hot Spot a little after 10:00 Monday night. The suspect apparently handed the clerk a note stating he had a gun and demanding money.
He's described as being a white man about 6'4" with a beard. He was wearing a tan carhart style jacket with a hood, grey sweat pants and white tennis shoes.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Star City police Department at 304-599-3550.
There was a reported armed robbery in Monongalia County Monday night.
Just after 10 p.m., calls came into MECCA 911 that the Hot Spot Lounge on Wildwood Street in Star City was robbed. Officials said they don't believe anyone was hurt.
Right now there's no word on if, or how much, anyone got away with.
The Star City Police Department is investigating.

You know I understand your frustration with gambling establishments in our area, but to say that you hope they all get robbed is just ignorant. These individuals work these places for minimum wage and have to worry about people like this all the time. This man should get a real job instead of robbing places. And maybe you should work a place like this for 7 something an hour to support yourself and family and have to worry about a person like this coming in and putting you through such a horrible experience. I mean gas stations sell alcohol and tobacco that have had terrible consequence for individuals and their family. Does that mean that all of them should be robbed and put out of operation. No I don't think so. Please choose your words wisely and think about the things you say. It makes no sense to wish this type of behavior on any establishment or individual.
