Update 3/31:

5 News has confirmed that a 17-year-old girl, who was in critical condition after a car crash early Saturday morning, has died as a result of her injuries. A 19-year-old man, who was the driver, died at the scene.

Deputies said Dalton Tenney was driving north on I-79, close to mile marker 128, with the girl in the passenger seat. The car somehow ran off the road, hit the median and then the guard rail. Both teens were ejected from the car.

The girl's name has not been released because she is a juvenile. Both teens are said to be from Upshur County.
