5 NEWS UPDATE: Two Teens Dead After Early Saturday Morning Car Crash

5 News has confirmed that a 17-year-old girl, who was in critical condition after a car crash early Saturday morning, has died as a result of her injuries. A 19-year-old man, who was the driver, died at the scene.
Deputies said Dalton Tenney was driving north on I-79, close to mile marker 128, with the girl in the passenger seat. The car somehow ran off the road, hit the median and then the guard rail. Both teens were ejected from the car.
The girl's name has not been released because she is a juvenile. Both teens are said to be from Upshur County.

A teenager is dead, and another is in critical condition, after an early morning accident on I-79 Saturday.
It happened around 4:00 a.m. around mile marker 128. Police said a 19-year-old man was driving north with a 17-year-old girl in the passenger seat. The car somehow ran off the road, hit the median and then the guard rail. Both teens were ejected from the car.
The man died on scene and the girl is in critical condition at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
Officials told 5 News they plan to release both names on Sunday. Both teens are said to be from Upshur County.
