Earlier this week the bill co-sponsored by U.S. Senator Joe Manchin that would have expanded mandatory background checks for potential gun owners was voted down in the senate.
Some national polls have indicated that 90 percent of folks across the country support that legislation.
5 News wanted to know what the folks around here had to say.
