Over the last 24 hours 5 News has been received  phone calls and e-mails from concerned viewers who wanted to tell us that a student in the Marion County school system had committed suicide all because of school bullying.
5 News has reached out to the school superintendent to try and verify those reports, but he didn't have much he could say. All Gary Price was able to tell us was that he's also heard these rumors, but he doesn't know anything for sure. He also said that he hasn't been contacted by any other school officials about the situation, either.
Because of our policy with suicides, we won't be releasing the student's name, or anything more about this case unless school officials provide an update, or if criminal charges are filed.
