With college classes back in session, a lot of seniors who are getting ready to graduate are also starting to interview for their first jobs after getting their degrees.
Even though its getting a bit easier to find jobs in our improving economy, you may be sabotaging your own chances.
Searching for a job and going through interviews is stressful within itself, but says there are five things you could be doing that ruin your chance.
They say you should never apply for more than three related positions in one company, you should always ask questions during your interview to show you are serious about the position, don' t act desperate or arrogant, don't hide information from the hiring manager, and always remember your manners.
“They indicated not asking any questions during the interview. I strongly agree with that particular point because when you're going in for that interview, you want to make sure that the employer knows you're interested in the company and not just looking for a job,” said Brandi Smith, Career Services Counselor at Pierpont Community and Technical College. also recommends sending hand written thank you cards because they are more memorable than just an email.
