Accidental Shooting Involving Juveniles in Preston County

In Preston County, one boy is in the hospital after he was shot in his left arm and left leg, after another juvenile accidentally dropped a firearm and it discharged.
According to a press release, one boy was 11 years old and the other was 14 years old. They were both left home alone with a loaded firearm.
The owner of the home James David Metz is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing a firearm.
Metz was arrested for prohibited person in possession of a firearm. Police said more charges are pending.
