It's that time of year when high schools and colleges around the country honor their best and brightest, and that's exactly what happened in Philppi on Saturday.

Hundreds came out to the Memorial Coliseum Saturday afternoon, and this year's graduation was a very important one for Alderson-Broaddus College. It's the last time the school will ever graduate anyone using the word "college."

It recently received approval to be renamed Alderson Broaddus University.

We caught up with a few students who couldn't be happier to reach the beginning of a new chapter in their lives.

"It's just awesome. The four years really flew by," says Sarah Holmes, Alderson-Broaddus College graduate

The ceremony also included guest speaker Dr. Wiley Cash who gave the commencement speech. Cash is an award-winning, best-selling author for the New York Times.
