In Barbour County, students at Alderson Broaddus College were also fighting the battle against cancer. They held their annual Relay for Life Kick-Off and Zumbathon Saturday afternoon at Memorial Coliseum.
Three zumba instructors from Morgantown led 15 people in the three hour marathon session. There was a silent auction held to raise money for the college's Relay for Life in August. The zumba instructors told us that the health benefits make it a great way to kick-off the campaign.
"It's just great because Zumbathons are where you get instructors that come together. Normally, we just teach by ourselves so I get to see my friends again, and meet new people and we just Zumba for three hours instead of one," said instructor Rachel Gregory.
A silent auction was held that included prizes like autographed team photos of the school's men's and women's basketball teams.
