5 NEWS UPDATE 3/7 4:37PM
We've received more information about Edward Matthew Tuttle. Currently working as the Upshur County DOH highway administrator, Tuttle previously served as a supervisor with the Equipment Division.
Tuttle allegedly lied to agents and officers with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. If he’s convicted, he faces up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
ORIGINAL STORY 3/7 12:27PM
A month after a supervisor with the Division of Highways was arrested, 5 News has confirmed that another DOH worker was handcuffed Friday morning.
Buckhannon Police tell 5 News that Matthew Tuttle has been arrested. We don't know why yet, or if it's connection to supervisor Barry Thompson's legal troubles.
Thompson is accused of making a false statement to an FBI agent involving a federal investigation into the equipment division of the DOH.
An anonymous source also told 5 News that more arrests are possible Friday. However, authorities were not able to confirm that for us.
As soon as we have any more information, updates will be posted here on wdtv.com and Friday evening on First at 5.
