The future of energy in West Virginia was the main topic at the Barbour County Chamber Of Commerce's Annual Banquet, Friday night.
Hundreds turned out to hear where our energy is heading in the future. Vice President for Exploration and Development Of Consol Energy, Larry Cavallo, spearheaded the conversation. He said there will be a lot of opportunity in the upcoming years in the Mountain State as Consol switches from coal to natural gas with marcellus shale.
"The feature for the gas production of the marcellus shale in West Virginia is very night. Production is coming this way from Pennsylvania and there's going to be a lot of activity in West Virginia," said Cavallo.
Cavallo mentioned there will be a lot of jobs available - both on the service company side and the operators side.
