Officials with the West Virginia University Police Department told 5 News on Thursday that the student who was brutally attacked Wednesday has been released from the hospital.
However, police are still looking for the man responsible for that attack.
It took place around 3 a.m. on Wednesday at the intersection of Campus Drive and University Avenue in Morgantown.
Investigators said the student was attacked from behind and was repeatedly kicked in the face and head.
Police said the man responsible is white, around 5'10", has blonde hair, and was wearing neon green cowboy boots.
