It took five months and thousands of Lego pieces for one boy in Buckhannon to build a giant cathedral.

16-year-old Tyler Boyd developed a passion for building Lego creations a few years ago. He named this creation Saint Peter's Cathedral. He even built it without any type of manual or instructions.

He's hoping to donate it to the Buckhannon Library so people can see it and get as much joy out of it as he has. He originally wanted to make it bigger, but it was such a large scale project, he ended up running out of pieces.

He said, "It's been stressful, wonderful and rewarding all at the same time. I just kind of lay the first brick and it goes from there. It goes from trial and error, tear it down and fix it back, but mostly it's just inspiration."

For his next piece, he's hoping to either make a fire station or create a downtown district scene. If you'd like to get a look at the cathedral, it's in the Holy Rosary Church in Buckhannon.
