At the close of Bridge Day, several base jumpers had been treated for broken bones, but major injuries were not reported according to MetroNews.

The 34th Annual Festival was Saturday October 19, 2013.  According to organizers, 450 base jumpers made 903 total jumps from the New River Gorge Bridge in Fayette County.

The 876 foot tall New River Gorge Bridge served as the launch point base jumps. This is the only day of the year that traffic is shut down and spectators can safely and legally walk across the world's second longest single arch bridge.

Route 19 was closed during the event and reopened at the New River Gorge Bridge on Saturday following the event.
