The Bridgeport levy passed on Saturday with a vote of 250 to 84. That equaled out to 5.4% of registered voters.

The levy will help fund city projects like parks and recreation and city maintenance. The Bridgeport City Library will also get a portion of the funds. It's estimated that the levy will generate over $1,000,000 in revenue each year.

The Bridgeport City Recorder, Robert Greer, said, "We deal with fire, streets, sidewalks, and the new issue this year was storm water. In addition, there's funds that come from this levy that pay for the parks and recreation and for the library."

These results are unofficial until they can be canvassed, but with the approval, the levy will begin July 1st through June of 2019.
