Buckhannon Police Arrest Man on Malicious Assault, Battery Charges

Officers in Buckhannon arrested a man who they said injured one woman so badly she had to be taken to the hospital, and then spit on her friend.
22 year-old Melvin Tyler apparently hit the woman in the head with an empty beer bottle Saturday at the Bobcat Bar Lounge.
22 year-old Melvin Tyler apparently hit the woman in the head with an empty beer bottle Saturday at the Bobcat Bar Lounge.
She had to be taken to St. Joseph's Hospital, where she had to get six stitches.
After that incident, Tyler was outside of the bar and got into a fight with the victim's friend.
That's when he supposedly spit on her, and called her names.
