The case of two Barbour County parents accused of giving their 23-month-old daughter methadone, causing her death, has been handed off to a grand jury.
About two months ago, 31-year-old Ida Evans supposedly gave their daughter methadone on March 13th.
The baby's father, 37-year-old David Delauder apparently found out that Evans gave the girl the drug about an hour later, but didn't make any attempt to get her medical attention.
Both also supposedly took hydrocodone and methadone that night as well.
The pair allegedly got the drugs off the streets in Philippi.

According to the report they gave the baby methadone on March 13. And according to an earlier report the baby's hair test positive for the drug also. The drug, no matter what it is, just doesn't show up in the hair after one dose. They can tell by how far up the hair shaft the drug goes how long they have been giving this baby the drugs. I sure hope the prosecutor has all their ducks in a row when these two go to trial. Do this baby right by not giving these idiots a plea. She at least deserves to have someone stand up for her and have her death mean something!
